‘Anymous’ – I’m awestruck by your intellectual argument and elegant prose, and as such I’m unsure as to how to respond.
No one wants to go to war. No one wants to put themselves in harms way. However, life isn’t fair and war is hell, tough decisions and sacrifices have to be made, and sometimes shit happens. Unfortunately, rockets, missiles, bombs, bullets and artillery shells don’t disperse smiles, happiness and flowers when they reach their targets.
I decided to run a trace route on your posting IP. It seems as though it’s coming from the Netherlands. I find that interesting since in 1940 your country was quickly overrun by the German invasion. Later, Limburg was first liberated by the United States 30th Infantry Division. Furthermore, British and Canadian forces, with more assistance from the US, later pushed the Germans from your country and forced their surrender.
So, assuming you were born in the Netherlands, you just might very well owe your life to an American, Brit or Canadian. How does that make you feel? What if the Allies had thought that “wars fucking suck” and told the Netherlands to “fuck off and die?”
Why the hell do these “anti-troops” pussy-morons always seem to come from the Ass-Crack between Germany and France? I guess because they don’t have any actual fighting forces of their own maybe?
Hell, if the US street gangs like the Crips or Bloods were smart, they could emigrate over there and literally take over the place. But I’m guessing that there’s nothing over there that anybody actually would want, otherwise someone would have done that already.
